Quarry Cup

Thrown on the wheel from a single mass of porcelain, the upper form 
emerges with a quiet precision. Over the span of 72 hours, as the clay slowly 
transitions from wet to leather-hard, the bottom half is torn and chiseled, 
revealing the grain of the Earth. Each peice is one of a kind.

The Quarry Cup can be used for food, deserts, incense holder or an ikebana vase
